The Black Lung Inner City Choir is a trio that was formed in Taiwan, by three Canadian Musicians (Nick Fothergill, Pat Reid, Brad Whitmore).

For the past three years "this soulful, harmony driven folk band has captivated audiences all over Taiwan" (The Taipei Times) playing all the major festivals and stages. A band of great depth and versatility The Black Lung Inner City Choir plays rhythmic acoustic music with tastefully phrased guitar lines and layers of vocal harmonies and beautiful storytelling lyrics.

They have built up a devoted international audience - from their current stomping grounds of Taiwan all the way to their native Canada and work to engage both the expatriate community and the local Taiwanese and aboriginal communities. The band engages the audiences with spoken mandarin Chinese and also sings some songs in Chinese and Taiwanese.
