Shu-Te Commercial High School

The Shu Te Cultural Performance Arts Group is a team composed of students from the Shu Te Commercial High School in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

The school is known for providing well rounded education to broaden students’ scope of training and experience. The Shu Te Cultural Performing Arts Group has been invited to perform many times in large scaled events both in Taiwan and overseas.

The repertoire of the group is multifaceted in that the performers dance to modern music played with traditional instruments. This is arguably the ultimate form of “Fusion Arts”.

Another unique performance by the group involves the combination of Kungfu and bartending. Through the incredibly difficult moves in martial art, the performer shows the graceful rhythms of “figure bartending”.

All these demonstrate how much effort the school has put into the promotion of activities in culture and arts, and how well the students have responded to their training.
