Culinary Sensation, Chef Chi Wen Chen

According to a new survey, food fairs in the night market rank one of the top attractions for foreign tourists to Taiwan. At these road side stands, visitors can really appreciate the unique gourmet culture in Taiwan.

Those who can not make it to Taiwan will have the opportunity to also taste some of the most popular snacks at Taiwan’s night market by visiting the Taiwanese Food Fair at the 2008 TaiwanFest. Young chef Chen, Chi-wen will demonstrate how some of the popular snacks are made.

Chef Chen graduated from the famed Kaohsiung School of Culinary Arts. He has been working in culinary industry since he was 16, and has participated in various cooking competitions. His specialty is giving a new life to some traditional dishes through his innovative ideas and great skills. He has had several best-selling recipe books under his belt.
